Compliance Requirements for Office & Corporate

Sexual Harassment Prevention Title VII / State Laws

Federal law under Title VII prohibits workplace harassment. Multiple states require mandatory training: California (SB1343, AB1825), Connecticut (2 hours for all employees at companies with 3+), New York (1 hour annually for all employees), Delaware, Illinois, Maine, and others have specific training mandates.

Workplace Violence Prevention OSHA General Duty / SB553

OSHA's General Duty Clause requires employers to address known workplace violence hazards. California's SB553 (effective July 2024) requires a written workplace violence prevention plan for nearly all employers.

Drug and Alcohol Awareness DFWA / DOT Requirements

While not universally required, employers with drug-free workplace policies and those subject to DOT or federal contractor requirements must provide substance abuse training.

Fire Safety and Emergency Action Plans 29 CFR 1910.38 / 1910.39

Every employer must have an emergency action plan. Employers with fire extinguishers must train employees on their use annually.

Ergonomics General Duty Clause
