General Industry is a 7-course online training package covering the universal OSHA general industry hazards present in essentially any workplace - HAZCOM, PPE, slips/trips/falls, fire extinguishers, basic electrical safety, crisis management, and industrial ergonomics. Built for property management firms, professional services with field staff, mixed-operations small businesses, oil-and-gas-adjacent operations, and any employer who does not self-identify into one of the named industry verticals. Pricing starts at $125 per employee for teams of 50 to 99 and goes up to $169 per employee for teams of 1 to 9. All seven courses are available in English, Spanish, and multi-language closed captions. Each employee receives a certificate of completion.

What This Package Covers

Every workplace falls under OSHA General Industry standards (29 CFR 1910) - the universal rules covering chemical safety, PPE, fire response, walking/working surfaces, electrical safety, and emergency planning. HAZCOM (29 CFR 1910.1200) ranks #2 on OSHA's annual most-cited list and applies to any workplace with cleaning supplies, copier toner, or maintenance chemicals. Slips/trips/falls is the leading cause of general industry workplace injuries. Property management, professional services with field staff, mixed-operations small businesses, and any employer without a specialized vertical share this universal hazard profile.

This package covers the seven universal OSHA general industry hazards. Buying these courses individually at retail would cost $175 to $210 per employee. This package delivers all seven for $125 to $169 per employee depending on your team size.

Designed for

Property management firms, professional services with field staff (engineering, environmental consulting, real estate appraisal, inspectors, surveyors), mixed-operations small businesses, oil-and-gas-adjacent operations (downstream service-company office and admin staff), and any employer that does not self-identify into one of the named industry verticals. This is the universal entry point for the cross-section of small employers with general OSHA exposure who do not fit a specialized industry page.

Courses Included

All 7 courses are available in English, Spanish, and multi-language closed captions at no additional charge.

PPE training is required before use of protective equipment, per 29 CFR 1910.132(f). Fire extinguisher training is required for any employee expected to use them, per 29 CFR 1910.157(g). Electrical safety practices are addressed under 29 CFR 1910.331-335. Walking and working surface hazards are addressed under 29 CFR 1910.22. Emergency action plan training is required under 29 CFR 1910.38. Ergonomics is addressed under the General Duty Clause (Section 5(a)(1)).

Common Questions

Is this the right package if I do not see my industry listed?
Yes. General Industry is built specifically for employers who do not fit into a named vertical - property management firms, professional services with field staff, mixed-operations small businesses, downstream oil-and-gas service company office staff, school administrative staff, back-of-house restaurant staff, and any small business with general OSHA exposure. The seven courses cover the universal hazards present in essentially any workplace.
How does this pair with the Workplace Compliance / HR bundle?
For office and mixed-operations buyers, the cross-industry Workplace Compliance / HR bundle is typically the first-purchase product (sexual harassment, workplace violence, substance abuse, discrimination, bullying). General Industry adds the safety layer (HAZCOM, PPE, fire, electrical, slips/trips/falls, emergency planning, ergonomics). Many employers run both as part of an annual training program. Buying both packages together qualifies for multi-bundle pricing - call us for a quote.
Does this satisfy state-specific training requirements?
The seven courses cover universal OSHA general industry standards that are baseline-required across federal and state OSHA programs. State-specific additional requirements (e.g., California Heat Illness Prevention, New York harassment training) are not included in this bundle and would be added as individual courses or via the Workplace Compliance / HR bundle.
Can I assign different courses to different roles?
Yes. Your employer dashboard lets you assign individual courses to specific employees. A common pattern: HAZCOM and PPE for all employees; fire extinguisher training for designated emergency responders; electrical awareness for facilities and maintenance staff; ergonomics and slips/trips/falls universally; emergency planning and crisis management for managers and team leads.
Are these courses available in Spanish?
Yes. All 7 courses are available in English, Spanish, and multi-language closed captions at no additional charge. This bundle has no partial-language coverage qualifications - every course in the package is bilingual.
