The four courses anchor on the regulatory foundation for water and wastewater operations. Permit-required confined space programs and entrant training are required under 29 CFR 1910.146. Chlorine safety addresses Process Safety Management requirements under 29 CFR 1910.119 at threshold quantities. HAZCOM training is required before chemical exposure, per 29 CFR 1910.1200(h). The 24-hour and 40-hour HAZWOPER credentials (Operations and Technician levels) require instructor-led training with hands-on field exercises and are out of scope.
